My Appetite

What can I say?  I like to eat.  I try to eat frequently and eat well.  As a result most of the dishes you see at Appetite for Conversation are healthy, made from as many "whole foods" as possible (not from processed foods), and completely vegetarian.  Although I have a lot to say about food I am also a busy, busy girl.  Nearly all the food I make, I make in a hurry.  If you're looking for ideas for quick, simple cooking, you might check out my Remix series.  These are the simplest combinations of ingredients in formats that I return to over and over again.

Food nourishes me and my family, but I also try to make eating fun.  I am always looking for ways to make food appealing for both the grown-ups in our family (my hubby and I) and for our four-year-old daughter.  This means that we often create little excursions in our quest for good food.  If you visit here often, you are likely to hear about these little quests and the food that we try as we visit new places in my Local Greats series.  I also like to "play" with food whenever possible ~ food tastings, food themes, and food-scapes.  You will see some of my edible creations that are intended to be enjoyed as much for their beauty as their taste.  I call call this form of fun "Foodplay."

Finally, you should also know that recently my hubby has become obsessed with beer ~ the classy kind ~ and so I hope to feature some of my experiences as my hubby and I try new beers, new beer flavors, and of course new beer pairings.

So that's all there is to know about my appetite.  I hope you'll stick around so that I can learn more about yours!
